Accessibility

Built to be usable by everyone

WEASEL is designed to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and every component in this library is reviewed for accessibility before it ships.

Style Weasel Productions is committed to digital accessibility for all users, regardless of ability. We regularly review WEASEL against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and update our components as issues are identified.

What we do

  • Every interactive component supports keyboard navigation.
  • Every page includes a "Skip to content" link at the very top, so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation and get straight to the page's main content.
  • Color combinations across the system are checked against WCAG contrast requirements.
  • We conduct an accessibility audit on a quarterly cadence, most recently in connection with the Card component (see Components and the v4.3.0 changelog entry).

Reporting an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere in WEASEL or on this site, contact the Design Systems team using the details on our About page, and we'll route it into our standard intake process (see Governance).

Conformance status

WEASEL is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
